Kiss contest entry

"i don't know what i was thinking. i watched her work, her strong hands moving over the tools and sheet metal with such careful calculation. and it was for me.
it dawned on me in that instant how much love went into the steel, bolts and oil that i wore as a limb.
when she turned back to me i just lost it. i grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards me, pressing my lips to hers. i didn't dare open my eyes - i didn't wanna see her reaction. but the warmth that radiated out from her body more than made up for the lack of certainty.
or perhaps certainty was the only thing i didn't lack at that moment.
what i did was selfish; showing Winry that her love for me was requited was the worse thing i could do to her.
but at the same time. . . i could never regret that moment if i lived for a thousand years.
and i realized i loved her as much as i already knew she loved me.
what have i done?"

the original was a pencil sketch, but i wanted to do a cool colored version and i tried out a new technique. i'm pretty happy!
the only thing i hate is Ed's disproportionate automail arm. i didnt realize it til it was too late.

i used real photos of cosplay automail and wood workshops for the bg so i didnt have to draw them.
